[Insert Witty Title]

{Following the overused insert-blank-here gag is a breathtaking, mind-blowing description that explains in so many verbose words the stupendous and astonishing point of this blog that will in time be wistfully recounted by countless, awestruck generations to come: my own self-amusement.}

HEY, DOES ANYONE REMEMBER…

…that the Legend of Korra, when it was originally created and conceived, WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE ONE SEASON.

It didn’t get the green light for more seasons UNTIL AFTER IT ACHIEVED A GREAT DEAL OF SUCCESS, i.e. WHEN IT WAS INITIALLY BEING AIRED ON NICK.

THIS IS WHY THE SHOW FEELS “RUSHED.” THIS IS WHY KORRA AND THE NEW GAANG LACKED SO MANY QUIRKY MISADVENTURES AND WHY THEIR DEVELOPMENT WAS STUNTED. THIS IS WHY ALL LOOSE ENDS WERE TIED UP IN THE FINALE. IT WAS PRODUCED TO BE A ONE BOOK SHOW.

So please, quit complaining about how awful everything was, and enjoy the fact that we will have at least two seasons more where the creators are assured that they can have ample time to continue delicately cultivating their rich and beautiful universe, as they did in the original series.

    That doesn’t make up for the fact that that was probably the worst season finale they could have conceived. Just because...
